Einstein Healthcare Network Chooses Line Systems to Heal Network Pain

Einstein Healthcare Network is able to connect their physician sites with the flexible bandwidth and business continuity they need to ensure service to their patients and administrators alike

WEST CHESTER, PA — May 1, 2012 — Line Systems today announced that it has been chosen by Einstein Healthcare Network to be the sole integrated communications provider for their entire WAN (Wide Area Network) solution in the Philadelphia region. The WAN solution provides high-bandwidth fiber, MPLS (Multi Protocol Label Switching), and voice and data networking to more than 40 different Einstein locations throughout their healthcare network – while connecting to the main hospital’s dark fiber Synchronous Optical Networking (SONET) ring.

After becoming Einstein’s voice service provider 18 months ago, Line Systems has proven itself to be a reliable partner that has the expertise and broad portfolio of services to take a more strategic role in handling all of Einstein’s networking and communications needs.

“The main business driver prompting the need for a scalable, high bandwidth networking solution was our new records keeping system that requires all of our physician sites to connect to the main hospital and get records from the hospital as well as the backup center,” said Brenda G. West, Assistant Vice President of Information Systems at Einstein Healthcare Network. “The customized solution also allowed us to consolidate our service providers, with their multiple bills, to one Line Systems invoice. As an added benefit, the unique scalability of the solution also allows us to use our network when we provide free screenings to members of the local communities that we serve.”

“We are excited to be involved with such a prestigious and locally-rooted healthcare provider such as Einstein Healthcare Network,” said Mike Miller, Chief Executive Officer of Line Systems. “We have forged a true partnership with Einstein to help them deploy innovative solutions to solve complex challenges in the world of managed healthcare. Our breadth of service offerings, high attention to customer satisfaction and collaborative company culture provides the fabric for a strong partnership that will last for years to come.”
